There was one question after the delivery discussion about available holds that are suspended.
When an available hold is suspended and is checked in, the item does not want to fill the next hold or be routed to the shelf. Instead, WorkFlows continues to put the item in the HOLDS location.
The best solution to unlock the hold is to process the item using the Manage Hold Shelf wizard.
- Select the suspended hold in the top pane of the wizard.
- Click the Process Selected Inactive Holds button.
- The item will route back to the shelf, fill the next hold, or go into transit.
During the discussion, the SEO team initially mentioned checking the item out to your DISPLAY user and back in. This method will work but after more testing, we decided that using the Manage Hold Shelf wizard is the optimal solution.
