Greetings SEO Members,
We are delighted to announce the release of Solus App Version 2023.1.10x, a significant update that promises to enhance the experience for both our library patrons and staff. We have some reports with iOS users that after the update, the app may not reload and appear to be “stuck”. If this happens, we recommend simply removing the app and re-installing. For Android users, the app should update automatically, but if it does not, patrons may need to go to the app store and apply the update.
Here is a list of exciting new features and improvements this update brings (full release notes):
- My Lists:
- Patrons now have the ability to create and manage item lists. This feature empowers them to curate their reading and resource preferences. Please note: This does not sync with the Enterprise My Lists and is rather a standalone feature of the app.
- Reading Tracker:
- Our new “Reading Tracker” operates as a fitness tracker for reading. Patrons can monitor their reading activity, set goals, and unlock virtual awards for their reading achievements. This gamified approach promotes reading engagement and motivation.
- Chromebook Version:
- SOLUS has expanded their reach by introducing a dedicated Chromebook version of the Solus app. This extends accessibility to a broader user base, such as schools.
- Seamless Scrolling:
- Solus App Version 2023.1 introduces a more intuitive browsing experience. Instead of traditional pages or tabs, users can now enjoy continuous scrolling, making navigation more fluid and user-friendly.
- Home Screen Notifications:
- The home screen now provides valuable notifications, such as hold availability alerts, without the need to navigate to the “My Account” section. This enhancement ensures patrons stay informed and engaged without effort.
To verify that you are running the latest version of the SEO Libraries app, go to My Account à Preferences and scroll down to see the version (2023.1.10x)
